Thomson Reuters, the producers of the EndNote desktop application, recently announced the availability of an EndNote iPad app. The EndNote app works in conjunction with your EndNote Web account and your EndNote desktop library via EndNote Sync on current EndNote platforms.
The EndNote app is available via iTunes and is current on sale for only $0.99 until July 31st. The regular price is listed as $9.99. The University Libraries will be reviewing the EndNote app and report on its capabilities reference/citation management. Initial impressions are good as long as you link your EndNote desktop with EndNote Web.
An update to your EndNote desktop maybe necessary to enable EndNote Sync. In Windows EndNote X6, an update was necessary to bring the software up to version X6.0.1. EndNote updates can be found under the "Help" menu and is called "EndNote Program Updates..." To connect your EndNote desktop application to EndNote Web, go to "Help" and click on "EndNote Web" then follow the instructions.
